I can relate to parts of her story. I think a lot of gay and christian people could find parts of her story that rang true. I didn’t have people screaming at me to change or anything when I came out, but I did struggle, as she did with the thought that there were only two choices. Gay and not Christian, or straight and christian.

Thankfully, now I know that my belief in God and faith in him can actually fit with my sexuality. Like Rio, I don’t know if I am sure I want to label myself as Christian again yet. That changes from day to day, sometimes from hour to hour, though.
