I think there is a definite need Tez......and a regular Brissie get together could feed in people from Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast as well for a start. I'll be in touch.

when bris was having get togethers i use to come down from the sunshine coast to come to them

but i know that is not convenient for all people

Yeah lets know. I need some people in my life that understand me......can get lonely at times.

This morning at church a guy who I thought was symathetic started quoting Corinthians about homosexuals. Our curate challenged him on his literal interpretation and shot him down in flames. A product from years gone by and thakfully this new generation think differently. I dislike dogma!! Things are changing. We are moving toward a church that spreads Gods love.....hopefully.

I'm on the Gold Coast, and hoping to find a few friendly faces. I've only recently had to stand up for what i really believe in regarding same sex relationships. These are contrary to my church's beliefs so I find myself without a Christian support network for the first time in a very long time.
I miss my church friends and my bible study group, but am very selective about who I keep in contact with as inevitably the questions about why I felt I had to leave come up.
I'd love to see if there are any people on the Gold Coast and I'm happy to drive up to Bris every now and then......please keep me posted

in many ways our journeys are the same but also very different.....its always good to read how others have journeyed. this section is read by many many people out there still working things out as well ......so to hear another story helps them along the way and to know they are not alone.

I am organising a regular catchup with gaychristiannet people (first Friday of each month - 5th Feb is our first)
I am happy for any freedomers to come along to that if you so desire

but seeing as Freedom2b is geared slightly differently, I am still happy to host or just be apart of a freedom time as well.

well a few have said they would like to get together

I am hosting a gcn (gay christian network) gathering - first fri of each month
happy for it to combine with the freedom crowd
but also happy for there to be a seperate gathering
if people so choose

with the flood waters beginning to subside we will still be having a SEQ gathering combined with the GCN crowd this friday night at my place.

So if anyone is interested in coming along

Next officially 'unofficial' gathering for the SEQ dwellers and friends and travellers from afar will be on Sun 28 March at New Farm Park for a bbq from noon.
BYO all you wish to consume.
Will be joining with the 'GCN'ers for this.

If you want to come, just private me and I will give you my contact details
and when you arrive in New Farm just text or call me and I will call you back and let you know where in the park we are. (I will go there earlier to secure a bbq and table).

so all that are interested are going to see what movie/s they are the interested in seeing
and we will work out a time inbetween the movie/s for a get together

it could be brunch, lunch or early dinner

and bring your ideas/timetable here and we will see what suits most people

hey everyone in seq and AVB too,

I am leaving Brisbane in two weeks
not sure for how long, maybe for good
depends on where i get a job/work after i graduate from uni at the end of June

so as for me with the gatherings in Bris, I will not be able to host them

but if they occur i will come if able

an email to you was on my list of things to do Tez......maybe you will end up in Sydney or Melbourne where meetings are already up and running successfully. keep us posted.
