....for sharing your story so eloquently and with such optimism. Your speech was made a while back but for new members such as me provides amazing support.
I have said to Anthony.... 7 weeks ago I thought I was the only bloke on the planet confused about his sexuality. I was not filled with self hatred but knew it was coming. I would not declare to myself my sexuality and certainly would not expose it to others, scared of the ripple effect this would have. Anyhow, I HAVE and am thankful that I found this forum and am able to find support in the amazing stories found here.
I am NOT the only guy on this planet taking this journey!
glad to see you found this story of Iains.......he has had such an amazing journey.......and much more to come. I hope he doesn't mind but I often say that Iain is one of F2B's great success stories.
Thanks to so many in this truely amazing F2B group I have been able to come to a point of resolution (and have been enjoying my life for more than two years now?!) ...that may not have ever occurred if F2B didn't exist. ...and I know I'm not the only one on this forum who feels this way!
As a small way of 'giving back to the commuity' I have a photographic exhibition in Feb that documents some of our powerful stories ...stories of those who tread the tight rope and ...walk between worlds.

..your story.
Very exciting! I would love to see this exhibition come to Melbourne! : - )
I would like it to go to Melbourne as well, but I am yet to find a suitable gallery!? Any suggestions?

Not off the top of my head but perhaps peruse the midsumma program to see where photographic exhibitions are being held during this festival...they may prove to be of assistance.
http://www.midsumma.org.au/
thats not a bad idea.....when (not if) it goes well in Sydney then you might be able to get funding from Midsumma to transport it down.
Thank you for all those suggestions!
Also thank you to all those who helped so willingly with the WALKING BETWEEN WORLDS exhibition last night. A very successful night!
Many F2B lives were celebrated!!
an inspiring chapter in the journey of the death of Alex and the real Iain emerges from the casket like a colourful butterfly.
the real Iain emerges from the casket like a colourful butterfly.
Or the cocoon... just quiety AVB
Not that I am prejudiced against zombie like, casket dwelling, morbid butterflies or anything... we don't discriminate against minority groups at F2b...

obviously a mixed metaphor Sandy.....a bit like myself....hehe
Great launch of your photography project Iain... exo to see so many people there on Sunday and to read their story's. Look forward to wandering through again soon when less crowded so I can spend time soaking it all in....
Checked out your photography exhibition last Sunday Iain - I was very impressed and proud by what you have achieved
Is their or will their be any photos of the exhibition, would so love to see it
Thank you for all the kind comments about the exhibition! After all this work I can't believe that it is almost over!? I would like to have it as a travelling exhibition but I don't have contacts at other similar gallery spaces yet.

Oh thanks for that Anthony

two months later......hehe

Thought I'd let you guys know that after two and a half years with my partner, Craig, we recently got engaged. I could have never imagined only coming out three years ago that my life would turn out like this!

Congrats Iain.
Your world is really blossoming. All I could say after reading your original speech was Wow and thank you God that he has given you freedom. Now he has given you a partner. Remember he said man was not made to live alone. May your new patnership florish and grow in the love of God.
Thanks Murray for bringing this to my attention. What a brilliant, inspiring and courageous speech! I loved it.
Thanks for sharing, Iain. What are you doing for work now?
All the best,
Ann Maree
Iain is currently overseas with his partner.......and will be returning in a few weeks.....so i'm sure you'll hear back from him then.
Thanks avb. Great speech and story in general.
A genuinely inspirational story and speech - thanks very much for sharing it!
there is a wonderful additional paragraph to this story.....but I'll let Iain add that when he and Craig return from OS
Sorry Murray and Ann Marie, I didn't realise that you had replied to my post ages ago?! But by way of a quick update since getting back from Europe is that Craig and I are getting 'committed' (lol!) this August!
Very special time in our lives!

Thanks to all the F2Bers who have expressed their kind words of congratulations!
